PFASten Your Seatbelt

Monday, September 9, 2:15-3:00 pm

By this point, everyone has now heard of PFAS. In 2024, we’ve seen a heavy influx of additional new federal and state PFAS regulations covering products, raw materials, environmental permitting and all environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, drinking water, air).  With so many complex developments, it can be very difficult to see the forest through the trees when it comes to PFAS. In this practical session, we will explore some of the main PFAS regulatory requirements in place and likely coming soon, and discuss practical tips, strategies and best practices for industrial and manufacturing facilities.  At the end of the session, attendees’ PFAS toolboxes will include strategies to address requirements under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), the Clean Water Act, Comprehensive environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and certain state consumer product laws.
